Revit 3D

Course Overview

Revit 3D teaches how to use the 3D modeling, rendering, and visualization tools of Autodesk Revit 2027. This course enables you to create high-quality photorealistic renderings of architectural designs, apply materials and lighting, model conceptual massing, and produce presentation-quality output directly within Revit.

Content draws from the IMAGINiT Autodesk Revit Architecture Conceptual Design and Visualization curriculum, supplemented with PRO Trainers IT 3D modeling and lighting practice exercises.

Course Contents

• Creating 3D renderings in Revit — the full rendering workflow
• Adding and customizing materials: textures, finishes, and appearance assets
• Using lighting — natural light, sun studies, artificial lights, and light groups
• Creating and rendering perspective views and camera positions
• Conceptual mass modeling — creating in-place mass elements
• Applying walls, floors, and roofs from massing studies
• Customizing 3D parametric objects in Revit
• 3D modeling and lighting practice exercises in Revit
• Rooms and areas for space planning and color-fill analysis
• Creating perspective sketches, exploded views, and solar studies
• Rendering enhancements: people, plants, and entourage
• Exporting rendered images for client presentations
