Course Overview

AutoCAD Fundamentals is our complete 2-level certification track combining AutoCAD Basics and AutoCAD Intermediate into one comprehensive 40-hour program. This is the official pathway to the Autodesk Certified User (ACU) certification and covers 100% of the AutoCAD tools needed for professional 2D drafting.

The course is structured in two parts: Basics (first 20 hours) covers essential interface and drawing tools; Intermediate (second 20 hours) advances to blocks, Xrefs, layouts, and professional drawing set production.

Course Contents

Part 1 — AutoCAD Basics (20 hrs)

• AutoCAD 2027 interface, workspace setup, and navigation
• Drawing and editing precision 2D geometry
• Layers, linetypes, colors, and object properties
• Dimensioning, annotation, and text standards
• Hatching, gradient fills, and drawing cleanup
• Printing and plotting from Model Space

Part 2 — AutoCAD Intermediate (20 hrs)

• Blocks, block attributes, and the block editor
• Dynamic blocks with parameters and actions
• External references (Xrefs): linking and overlaying drawings
• Layout tabs, paper space, and multi-scale viewports
• Sheet sets and batch plotting
• Advanced dimensioning and multileaders
• Data extraction and Excel table links
